Space Station Crewmember Discusses Space Medicine with Japanese Students

Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 38 Flight Engineer Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency discussed the maintenance of crewmembers' health in orbit and space medicine with students from various Japanese schools during an in-flight event on Jan. 21. Wakata, who has been aboard the complex since early November, will become the first Japanese commander of the station in March for the final two months of his six-month mission on the orbital laboratory.
